Disney World Sending Ads for Annual Passes…While Most Sales Are Paused

Back in September, Disney World introduced a brand new annual passholder program after having sales suspended for almost a year and a half.

And, as holiday crowds have rolled into the parks, Disney has since paused sales of new annual passes just a few months after the new program launched in an effort to manage capacity in the parks and limit attendance. But, it looks like some Florida Residents are still receiving advertisements for the new passes.

Recently, many Florida Residents have received a flyer in the mail from Disney World, encouraging them to sign up for an annual pass.

The flyer explains some of the perks of becoming a passholder, ticketing options, and encourages them to “Become an Annual Passholder today!”

However, currently, only one of the four ticketing options is still on sale for Florida Residents looking to purchase a new annual pass, as Disney has paused new sales of the Incredi-Pass, Sorcerer Pass, and Pirate Pass.

The Pixie Dust Pass is still available for Florida Residents looking to become new passholders at the price of $399 plus tax annually. But, it’s important to keep in mind that this pass has the most blockout dates of all four options.

It seems poor timing for Florida Residents to be receiving advertisements for Disney World’s annual passholder program, but we do expect sales to resume sometime in the new year. So, if you’re thinking about purchasing a new pass and would prefer a higher tier than the Pixie Dust Pass, we suggest waiting to sign up.

  1. These ads look like we have received annual passes!! I thought someone gifted them to us. This was such a dirty trick. I looked it over three times and it almost convinced me that we had passes. I am blown away by this advertisement especially since only one pass is available to FL residents and all weekends are blacked out.
