Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part II Update Now Available

Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part II Update

Publisher Microsoft and developer Mojang have announced the Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part II update is now available, which focuses on improved terrain generation.

The new Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part II update brings with it a host of terrain-focused improvements like increased world height and depth, new candles, larger ore veins for you to dig up, and more. Furthermore, there are two new biomes added as well, the Lush Caves and the Dripstone Caves.

The first part of Caves & Cliffs launched back in June of this year, adding new mobs like the goat, the Glow Squid, and the Axolotl – among other terrain enhancements as well.

Here’s a new trailer for the update:

You can get the full rundown on the big new update here for the Bedrock version, and here for the Java version.

The recently announced Wild Update for Minecraft is launching sometime next year, however a few updates that were planned for this year are now unfortunately coming in The Wild update next year. These include the Sculk blocks, the Deep Dark biome, and the Warden. You can preview the new items in the Vanilla Experiments toggle in your menu, though.

Minecraft is available for Windows PC, Linux, Mac (all via the official website), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, Amazon Fire, Amazon Fire, and Fire TV. The Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, and Wii U versions have been discontinued and are no longer supported.
