Two officers pulled the BMW over at Cozine and Pennsylvania avenues in East New York, as the vehicle had been reported stolen the day before in New Jersey, according to police.

As police were conducting the traffic stop just before 3:30 a.m., the 30-year-old man behind the wheel of the BMW took off, running over one officer’s foot as he fled, police said.

The second officer fired one round, according to police, who said no person or property was struck.

The stolen SUV was eventually recovered in Ozone Park. The vehicle was unoccupied, but police said the suspect was apprehended nearby following a foot pursuit.

Both officers were taken to area hospitals in stable condition, one with a foot injury and the other with tinnitus.

The suspect was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, where he was treated for a minor shoulder injury.

In a tweet, the NYPD described the suspect as a "career criminal with 35 priors."

No other injuries were reported.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
