Former UFC champion Jan Blachowicz is set to make his return to the cage in March. Although it's not yet official, all signs point to a March 26 UFC Fight Night headliner.

Jan Blachowicz is expected to meet Aleksander Rakic in a high-level fight in the UFC light heavyweight division. This would be a big opportunity for both men.

The news was first announced by Ariel Helwani and then later confirmed by MMAJunkie. The fight is not done yet as the UFC is looking to make it official.

March 26 does not have a venue or even a location yet. The UFC could go to Europe with the card headlined by two big-name European fighters.

Jan Blachowicz last fought at UFC 267 where he lost his light heavyweight belt to Glover Teixeira. The Polish fighter was submitted in the second round after being hurt on the feet.

Aleksander Rakic last fought Thiago Santos in March at UFC 259 where he won by unanimous decision. Many were unhappy with the fight as they feel it lacked excitement compared to the way both men fight normally.

The bout will help both men get to the top of the division and eventually fight for the belt. Glover Teixeira is the current champion and he is expected to defend his belt against Jiri Prochazka in the first half of 2022.

Aleksander Rakic will look to use his wrestling to impose his will over the ‘Polish Power.' Jan Blachowicz will be looking to use his boxing to earn his way back to the title.
