Two gowns once worn by Princess Diana are on display in Tennessee.
The Elegance of Royal Fashion: Featuring the gowns of Diana, Princess of Wales, and designs from the Pat Kerr Private Royal Collection is now at the Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center in Hendersonville.
The showcase includes two of Princess Diana’s evening gowns, as well as her replicated wedding gown with its phenomenal 25-foot train.
Other artifacts like a gown worn by the late Duchess of Windsor Wallis Simpson and a replica of the wedding gown Jacqueline Bouvier wore to marry Jack Kennedy will also be on view.
The royal treasures are owned by Memphis fashion designer Pat Kerr Tigrett.
Tigrett lived in London for two decades, primarily during the heyday of royal collecting. Known as one of the most prominent American collectors in this field, some of the gowns Tigrett owns have been shown in at least two exhibits at Kensington Palace.
Timed entrance tickets for The Elegance of Royal Fashion at the MACC are on sale for $20 per person by calling 615-822-0789 or clicking here.
The exhibit, presented by Jeanette Heinz, is running through Jan. 9, 2022.
