Elden Ring renders your feet and fingers individually

Walk on the beach wearing shoes and you'll leave shoeprints, take them off and you'll leave barefoot prints. The next-gen is truly here.

Maiden in Black, Priscilla, Gwyndolin, Gwynevere and the list goes on and on. From Software games always had their fair share of shoeless characters and with Elden Ring, it looks like the team is pushing their feet rendering tech even further, for a true next-gen experience.

It's been spotted by some Elden Ring players that the game will properly render your shoes and bare feet in the sand, separately. So, for example, you're walking down the beach during sunset with your shoes or shiny warrior boots on. Guess what happens? Well, nothing, the game will render your shoes in the sand. We've seen it a thousand times in thousand games.

However, if you take off your shoes and go barefoot, you will see your feet and individually rendered fingers on the sand. Now, that's what we call a true next-gen feature. Check out this incredible tech in action in the video below:

Pretty awesome, right? I don't know about you, but I'm heading to Elden Ring's beach as soon as the game launches, who cares about all that optional open-world stuff and big badass bosses. That can wait. It's time to test this groundbreaking tech on my own.
