PlayStation Plus Six Free Games For December 2021 Confirmed

PlayStation Plus Six Free Games For December 2021 Confirmed

Another week, another leak

The PlayStation Plus free games for December 2021 have been confirmed. Just not in the way I think PlayStation intended.

The official Twitter account for PlayStation Deutschland went ahead and announced the latest lineup just a few hours ago. While none of the other PlayStation social channels have announced the new freebies yet, they do match up to the leaked games from earlier this week. This marks the seventh (or maybe even eighth) month in a row that the PS Plus free games have inadvertently been leaked or announced ahead of schedule. Maybe 2022 will be better, Sony.

So, what exactly are the free PlayStation Plus games for December 2021? If you kept an eye on the news last week, you probably already know. But if you weren't paying attention, we'll be getting LEGO DC Super Villains, Mortal Shell, and Godfall: Challenger Edition. They'll likely be available to download and add to your library from December 7, though that's yet to be confirmed.

Just like last month, there will also be another three PlayStation VR games as an added bonus for PSVR owners - though exactly which games have yet to be confirmed.

This is, admittedly, a decent mix and a solid step up from previous months. PS5 launch title Godfall always gave off big Wait-For-PS-Plus energy to me, and I'm excited to finally check out the loot-slasher RPG. LEGO DC Super Villains, meanwhile, is... well, it's a LEGO game. If you don't know what they're about by now I'm not sure where you've been. Finally, Mortal Shell is a very interesting Souls-like that I've been meaning to play for quite some time. That's definitely at the top of my list for December.

It's unclear when exactly PlayStation will officially confirm these games and unveil the three VR titles in its usual blog post, but I would expect it to happen at some point today. The cat is very much out of the bag at this point, after all.
