Woman arrested after allegedly shooting her sister Tuesday night outside Independence restaurant

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman surrendered to Independence police Wednesday after allegedly shooting her sister outside 54th Street Grill and Bar.

According to the department, the shooting victim suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot twice in a leg.

Officers first responded to the scene at around 7:45 p.m. and located the woman in the parking lot.

IPD public information officer Jack Taylor said the shooting happened after a domestic incident between the two women
