Jose Aldo vs TJ Dillashaw is a fight that many people have wanted to see when Aldo dropped down to the UFC bantamweight division. There wasn't much interest from the two fighters in the past as they seemed to be working on different things.

TJ Dillashaw currently doesn't have a fight booked but is nursing an injury after returning against Corey Sandhagen back in July. Jose Aldo is currently set to fight Rob Font in the main event of UFC Vegas 44.

Now may not be the right time to make the fight but it appears both men are in similar positions in the UFC. Jose Aldo spoke to MMAFighting and revealed his interest level in a matchup against the former UFC champion.

“It might happen. The fact Sterling is injured and we don’t know when he’s coming back, that (Dillashaw fight) could indeed happen in the future. Dillashaw and I, I don’t know if right now or in the near future, we want this fight. It’s a great fight for both of us, the UFC and the fans, so we’d all agree. I don’t know if it could be on the same card (of Sterling-Yan). If it is, I’ll be ready. My history is rich, so is his, and we need to make this fight,” Aldo said.

A fight with former UFC TJ Dillashaw could be on the cards depending on how things go against Rob Font on Saturday. Jose Aldo has many exciting opportunities in the UFC's bantamweight division.
