Disney+ is the place to be for Marvel fans. The success of WandaVision, Loki, and What If…? is about to be built on by Hawkeye which is coming later this week to the streaming service. The series, which will star Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, already has a planned spin-off for Echo aka Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox). Head writer Marion Dayre has sent Marvel fans into a frenzy with a recent social media post.

It has been long rumored that the Hawkeye series will bring back Netflix’s Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. Echo has an extensive Marvel Comics connection with Kingpin, who adopted the indigenous deaf character. D’Onofrio has been teasing fans that he might show up in Hawkeye alongside Renner, Steinfeld, Cox, and Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova aka Black Widow).
This is combined with rumors that fellow Daredevil actor Charlie Cox will be poking his head into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home (December 17, 2021). And Marion Dayre seems to have accidentally confirmed these top-secret cameos in her post promoting the new Echo series.
Twitter user GodEmperorBoss snagged a screenshot of her Instagram story where she included an image from a fan that combined Echo, Daredevil, and Kingpin:

While Echo is not coming to Disney+ anytime soon, this post has Marvel fans convinced that this is confirmation Kingpin is coming to the MCU and that Cox is showing up alongside Tom Holland (Peter Parker aka Spider-Man) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) next month.
Marion Dayre has a lot of experience with crime dramas, having previously worked on Better Call Saul. It is also rumored that Native American writer Bobby Wilson (Reservation Dogs) will be working under her in the writers’ room as well. So fan expectations for the series are high.
