Man charged in Hartford shooting that injured another man on Albany Avenue

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that left a man in critical but stable condition Tuesday night.

At around 5:36 p.m., Hartford police officers responded to the area of 517 Albany Avenue on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, they located a man in his thirties suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said he was taken to an area hospital for treatment where he is currently listed in critical but stable condition.

Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation. During the investigation, a suspect was developed.

Police said probable cause was established to charge Jose Rodriguez, 22, of Hartford with assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a firearm.

According to police, Rodriguez was located on Dec. 1 in Hartford and arrested. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
