New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is expected to be out against the Miami Dolphins this weekend because of a neck injury, according to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapaport of NFL Media. Backup Mike Glennon is now in line to start on Sunday.

This is a tough blow for a Giants team coming off an impressive win. Their defense held the Philadelphia Eagles to only 7 points. They're taking on a tough Dolphins team who is coming into this one with four straight victories.

The Giants have signed former University of Georgia standout quarterback Jake Fromm on Tuesday. There isn't much hope left for the Giants to make the playoffs this season. There is still an outside shot that they could get in as the Dallas Cowboys are starting to struggle. They are only two and a half games behind them. If they are going to want to make the playoffs, they are going to have to nearly win out. With the injury to their quarterback Daniel Jones, it's going to be much tougher than it would have been.

It also doesn't help that Saquon Barkley is just returning from injury and isn't anywhere near 100%. If they still had Barkley playing to the ability that he could, the loss of Daniel Jones would hurt a little bit less.

New York is going to travel to Miami as they have a tough contest in Week 13. If they want to beat this Dolphins team, who is playing the best football that they have all season long, they're going to need to step up without Daniel Jones.
