The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is strengthening its stance on boosters for all U.S. adults.

The CDC says people who have gotten the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine should get a booster six months later - and two months later for those who got the single shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Currently, 22% of fully vaccinated Americans 18 and older have gotten their booster shot.

A total of 44% of those 65 and up have gotten their boosters.
