Plainfield Passes Its 2022 Budget

A Public Hearing and Regular meeting of the Plainfield Town Board were held Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall.


There was no attendance at the Public Hearing. The 2022 final Town budget was approved by the Board, with an increase of 4.8 cents per assessed $1,000.


Assessor John Davison reported he has been collecting data on new construction and renovations that have closed building permits.


Many properties are still under construction. These will be taken care of closer to taxable status date to capture the state they are in on March 1, 2022.


Highway Superintendent Rod Jennison reported that they are done putting up sand and screening.


The sander spinner needed repair. The new truck is due to come in January.


The October 2021 Supervisor reports, Town Clerk reports, Minutes and Abstracts were all presented and approved by the Board.


Supervisor Todd Lewis gave an update on ARPA.


A Highway budget transfer was approved by the Board.
