Although Man United midfielder Paul Pogba is currently sidelined due to a thigh injury, that doesn't mean there aren't many questions about his future at Old Trafford. The Frenchman has yet to sign a new deal with the club and the belief is that he could leave as a free agent next summer, with the likes of PSG, Real Madrid, and Juventus interested in his services.

However, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein, Pogba may have had a change of heart as the arrival of new Man United manager Ralf Rangnick quickly nears:

“Pogba is said to be enthused by the idea of working under Rangnick, having received positive feedback about the 63-year-old from contacts in the game.”

The Red Devils reportedly have a deal on the table for the France international but it remains untouched. However, if his enthusiasm for the appointment of Rangnick is any indication, Pogba could put pen to paper before next summer.

The possibility of Pogba signing a pre-contract agreement with another European giant in January is still realistic, but it's hard to imagine that happening especially after spending almost two months on the shelf.

Pogba fell out of favor at Man United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, making just seven starts in the Premier League while tallying seven assists. It would be an absolute shame for the club to lose him for free in 2022 after spending €105 million on the player in 2016.
