Apple Music Releases 2021 Year-End Charts: BTS Wins ‘Top Streamed Song’

 

Apart from announcing the winners of the third annual Apple Music Awards recognizing the best artists of 2021 and their influence on global culture, Apple Music has also unveiled its Top 100 charts today for 2021.

Some of the key year-end charts the streaming service is sharing are: Top Streamed Song of 2021 which is won by ‘Dynamite’ by BTS, Top Read Lyrics (‘drivers license’ by Olivia Rodrigo), Top Streamed Workout Song (Head & Heart feat. MNEK, Tiësto Remix by Joel Corry) and Top Shazamed Song (Astronaut In The Ocean by Masked Wolf).

BTS’ 2021 hit ‘Butter’ also made the year-end chart at No. 21. Other artists in the top 25 include Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande, Pop Smoke, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Drake, Doja Cat, Bad Bunny, Giveon and Lil Nas X. See the top 25 below and the full list here.

As far as the Apple Music Awards are concerned, The Weeknd takes Global Artist of the Year, Olivia Rodrigo takes Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year and H.E.R. takes Songwriter of the Year.

The Apple Music Awards celebration kicks off Tuesday, December 7, 2021, with interviews, original content, and more all streaming worldwide on Apple Music and the Apple TV app.
