The New York Knicks just collected their latest win against the Atlanta Hawks 99-90 in what was an extremely entertaining and impressive display of basketball.

Although they were very shorthanded (they were missing Kemba Walker, Derrick Rose, Nerlens Noel, and Taj Gibson), the team put up an amazing fight on both offense and defense.

The Knicks maintained a comfortable lead for much of the game despite Trae Young’s best efforts.

The star of the show was Alec Burks.

Burks started at point guard, finishing with 23 points and 7 rebounds on 7-for-17 shooting from the field.

He was 5-for-7 from the free-throw line and 4-for-7 from three.

Most of those three-pointers and free throws came in the third quarter during a swing in which Burks scored 12 straight points for New York to grow their lead to 9 heading into the final quarter.

Who has been the best player on the New York Knicks?

While Burks was certainly a driving force, he wasn’t the only player that had a great game.

Unfortunately, this game was one of the few examples so for this season in which multiple Knicks were in fact able to have a positive impact that led to a win.

Several of the Knicks’ nine losses saw just one or two players play well in an attempt to carry the team, specifically on offense, to no avail.

But regardless, there are a couple of guys that have consistently shown up and showed out during most games.

It is those players who I will be nominating as the best Knicks from the first 20 games of the season.

Let’s find out who they are.
