The rest of the country is finally catching up and now they see what Las Vegas already knows—our music headliners are freaking talented and hella entertaining. It seemed like the artists who have residencies here were all the hype in the national media this weekend.

In case you missed it, here is a recap along with some of the places you may still be able to catch ‘em perform.

A Train Trip To Mars

Current Vegas headliner Bruno Mars confirmed with his band Silk Sonic of something that most of us have long suspected—they were meant for Soul Train.

Silk Sonic took to the stage and performed at the Soul Train awards on Sunday and managed to pick up a couple of awards at the same time.

The band could not have been a more perfect fit for the show. Complete with matching jackets and shirts that were barely buttoned (hello chest hair and chains), Silk Sonic matched the aesthetic and the groove of the long regarded award show.

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, the Silk Sonic duo,  took home three awards including Best Song and Best Video for “Leave the Door Open.” They also performed “Fly as Me, and “Smokin’ Out the Window,” which are both singles from their new album “An Evening With Silk Sonic.” The two jams were released just a couple of weeks ago.

And speaking of “Leave the Door Open,” the song received several Grammy nominations including Record of the Year and Song of the Year just last week. Back here in Vegas, Bruno is next performing at the Park MGM on December 17, 18, 30 and 31.

One Last Time With GAGA

She may have ended her Las Vegas jazz residency, but we will always refer to her as a Vegas headliner (we will just add the word ‘former’ and try not to cry about it). With that in mind, former Las Vegas headliner Lady Gaga joined forces with the iconic Tony Bennett for their “One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga,” show.

The performance aired this weekend and quickly swamped our socials with an abundance of praise for the performance. The duo ended their decade-long partnership by performing over two nights in August (Bennett’s 95th birthday no less) at Radio City Music Hall. Both shows were turned into a single concert for air on television.  If you missed it on CBS, you can stream it on Paramount+.

Lady Gaga also appears on the big screen in her second ever Hollywood movie. She stars alongside Adam Driver, Al Pacino and Jared Leto in “House of Gucci.” The movie opened up second in the box office this weekend just after the Disney movie “Encanto.”

Season’s Greetings From Stefani

And speaking of Disney, that is where we found another former Vegas headliner Gwen Stefani. She performed “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” and “Jingle Bells” at Disneyland. The performance was part of Disney’s Holiday Celebration , a special with a decked out Disneyland and featured Norah Jones and Mickey playing the drum. What’s not to love about that?  It aired on ABC and is currently streaming on HULU.
