Barbara Walter, 80,

Minot, passed away Satur-

day, November 27, 2021

in a Garrison nursing

home.

Barbara Jean Meeker

was born on October 1,

1941, a daughter of Alfred

and Ethel (Wells) Meeker

in Oswego, NY. She was

raised and educated in

New York. When Barbara

was 18 years old, she

moved to North Dakota to

be closer to her sister

Dawn.

Barbara owned and

operated a daycare when

her three children were

younger. She then worked

in the housekeeping

department at the hospi-

tal, and later at Edgewood

Vista, retiring for health

reasons. In 1994, Barbara

was able to return to

school and obtain her

GED, an accomplishment

she was very proud of.

She enjoyed spending

time with her family,

especially her grandchil-

dren. She was an avid

bowler, and even spent

countless hours playing

Nintendo WII bowling.

She listed to Elvis Presley

music, enjoyed playing

card games Phase 10 and

Pennies in a Pot. Barbara

will also be remembered

for her photography and

videography skills. She

was a loving mother,

grandmother,

great-grandmother, sister

and friend and will be

missed by all that knew

her.

Barbara is survived by:

Children: Tom (Steph)

Walter, Steve (Companion

Jerri) Walter, and Janet

Kuehne; four grandchil-

dren: Eric Grosse, Tiffany

Walter (who passed Au-

gust 2, 2011), Brekka

Warner (Derek) and Sa-

mantha Walter; two

great-grandchildren: Aria

and Mila Warner; siblings:

Dawn Clark, John (Louise)

Meeker, Tom D. (Jacki)

Meeker, Sharon Muroski,

Judy Nearbin;

sister-in-law Sharon

Moore; several nieces,

nephews and cousins also

survive.

Barbara was preceded

in death by: her parents,

granddaughter Tiffany,

brother Chuck and

brothers-in-law David

Nearbin and Frank Clark;

Visitation: Tuesday,

November 30, 2021 from

4 until 6 pm at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot

Funeral Service:

Wednesday, December 1,

2021 at 2 pm at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home Chapel, Minot.
