Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward has no time for nonsense, and he made that extremely clear when he ripped into wide receiver Chase Claypool's suggestion following the team's embarrassing 41-10 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on the road in Week 12.

Cam Heyward responded today on the DVE Morning Show to Chase Claypool’s play-music-at-practice suggestion: “I hope he was kidding because as soon as he said it I was literally about to rip the speaker out. That is not what we need right now. It’s X’s & O’s and it’s execution.”

That doesn't sound like a man Claypool would want to run into in the hallway. Heyward is clearly not in the mood to give attention to anything that is not pertinent to the improvement of the struggling Steelers. The 32-year-old vet is having a solid season, having recorded 5.5 sacks so far to go with an interception and 57 solo tackles across 11 games, and he doesn't want to see it all go to waste by missing the playoffs.

Claypool, on the other hand, could use the same intensity. He's been struggling of late, and against the Bengals, he was only able to corral three catches out of eight targets. He has not found the end zone in the last five Steelers games despite the fact that JuJu Smith-Schuster has been ruled out for the rest of the season weeks ago.

Claypool and the Steelers better wake up from their slumber and get it together soon, with the Baltimore Ravens waiting for them in Week 13.
