Foo & Goo: Two big rock concerts headed to Western PA

Foo Fighters and Goo Goo Dolls announced tours headed to western Pennsylvania.

Newly inducted Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Foo Fighters will launch a 2022 tour at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown on May 14.

The Dave Grohl-led band confirmed 18 "marathon evenings of life-affirming rock communion," set for amphitheaters, stadiums and festivals across North America.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. this Friday to the general public at concerts.livenation.com.  Citi cardmembers can purchase presale tickets beginning noon Tuesday until 10 p.m. Thursday at citientertainment.com.

The 2022 dates will mark Foo Fighters’ most extensive North American run since the February release of the band’s 10th album, "Medicine at Midnight" hailed as “brighter and more optimistic than anything they’ve ever done” (Rolling Stone) and “one of Foo Fighters’ best albums of this century” (Wall Street Journal).

Meanwhile, four-time Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling rock band Goo Goo Dolls announced 15 additional dates for their Summer 2022 North American tour. now including Stage AE in Pittsburgh on Sept. 22. Tickets cost $49.50 to $99.50 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at googoodolls.com with a fan club pre-sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Blue October will be the support act.
