VOCES8 Foundation Announces Live From London Holiday Slate

VOCES8 has announced its Live from London Holiday slate which will feature a number of performances throughout the holiday season.

All performances will be presented online.

First up, VOCES8 will perform “A Christmas Cracker.” Barnaby Smith conducts the showcase, which will also include a guest appearance from the Barnsley Youth Choir.

Performance Date: Dec. 4, 2021

The Crossing will present “Returning.” Donald Nally conducts. There will be a performance by Hartt Voices led by Anthony Trecek-King.

Performance Date: Dec. 5, 2021 

The King’s Singers will present “Christmas with The King’s Singers.” This concert will also feature The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.

Performance Date: Dec. 11, 2021

Apollo5 will get showcase “A Deep but Dazzling Darkness.” The London Youth Choir will also be featured in this performance.

Performance Date: Dec. 12, 2021

Next up is VOCES8’s rendition of Händel’s “Messiah.” Soloists include Mary Bevan, Nicholas Mulroy, Dingle Yandell, and Bethany Horak-Hallett. Barnaby Smith conducts. This concert also includes iSing Silicon Valley.

Performance Date: Dec. 18, 2021

St. Olaf College Christmas Festival provides the midpoint of the festival.

Performance Date: Dec. 19, 2021 

Stile Antico will give “A Renaissance Christmas.”

Performance Date: Dec. 22, 2021

On Christmas Eve,  audiences will see I Fagiolini’s “Angels and Demons.” Robert Hollingsworth conducts. The showcase also spotlights Daubeney Primary School.

Performance Date: Dec. 24, 2021

Gabrieli Consort & Players will provide a series of performances throughout the ensuing week for each day of Christmas. Soloists include Rowan Pierce, Charlotte Shaw, Martha McLorinan, Helen Charlston, Anna Harvey, Jeremy Budd, Matthew Brook, and Morgan Pearse. Paul McCreesh conducts.

Performance Dates: Dec. 25, 2021 – Jan. 6, 2022
