The Boston Red Sox were tabbed as a good fit for Los Angeles Dodgers' playoff hero and free agent Chris Taylor. Taylor, one of the top MLB free agents left after a recent frenzy, is reportedly expected to sign by Wednesday. A recent report from Red Sox beat writer Chris Cotillo reveals Boston's true interest in Chris Taylor.

Chris Taylor would seemingly be a perfect fit for the Red Sox, who have deployed utility players such as him to great success in the past. However, it doesn't seem like the Red Sox have any real interest in Taylor.

Taylor made the All-Star game last season for the Dodgers, slugging 20 homers with 13 swiped bases while appearing at all three outfield spots, second base, third base and shortstop. The 31-year-old came up big for the Dodgers in the playoffs, as he hit a scorching .476 with three homers- all in one game- nine RBI and three stolen bases in the National League Championship series loss to the Atlanta Braves.

If it's not Boston, Taylor will surely find a home somewhere. He has been rumored to join as many as seven teams this MLB offseason. One lucky MLB team, not the Red Sox, will benefit from having Chris Taylor at the top of their lineup.
