Special Thanks to Jackson Anthrop

Normally when we talk about Purdue Football it is normally focused on George Karlaftis, David Bell, or Aidan O'Connell. All with good reasons but Jackson Anthrop will probably go down as one of the all time true Boilermakers.

Rivals listed him as 5.4 stars out of high school and like all his brothers he went to Purdue under former coach Darrell Hazell in 2016. In his first season Coach Hazell was fired and came in Jeff Brohm.

In his first season under Brohm he recorded 47 receptions and 423 yards, but that didn't make his position safe. It was known that the Purdue staff didn't view his skill set as high level and was actively looking for upgrades.

In 2018 the future NFL Second Round Draft Pick joined the show in Rondale Moore and took over the role of starting Slot Receiver. While time playing obviously diminished Jackson Anthrop still stuck with the program.

While this year David Bell was obviously our best receiver it is can be argued that Jackson Anthrop was our 2nd best received. Anthrop developed into an amazing possession receiver and his grit and toughness definitely help us get to 8 wins.

Losing Jackson Anthrop next year will hurt as it is hard to replace a guy like him on the team.

Thanks for being such an amazing Boilermaker!
