Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain, which releases on December 3, is the perfect game to buy if you plan on having company over at any point. The game features a series of brain-bending puzzles and activities that you can compete in against friends and family. The game supports up to four-player matches and it even allows people to play on varying difficulties, so kids can play at the same time as an adult and hold their own.

For those looking for more of a narrative, storytelling adventure, Life is Strange: True Colors arrives on December 7. The latest entry in the series follows Alex Chen, a young woman with a troubled childhood who has the supernatural ability to experience, absorb and manipulate the strong emotions of others. If you haven’t already done so, check out our review of Life is Strange: True Colors, which succeeds in every aspect of its storytelling.

At some point, Annapurna Interactive’s mysterious adventure game Outer Wilds will also arrive on Nintendo Switch. It was delayed from its summer release window, so hopefully it releases on Switch at some point in December. It’s definitely worth keeping an eye on if you haven’t already played it. Another Annapurna game coming to Switch in December is the interactive thriller, Twelve Minutes, a time-bending puzzle game in which you relive the same event over and over again, discovering new things each time to uncover a mystery.
