Gift Guide: 5 wellness gift ideas to help you chill out in 2022

RALEIGH, N.C. — Self-care is a must this holiday season. I can already feel my shoulders tensing up thinking about all of the holiday shopping, house cleaning, decorating and everything else I've got to get done in the next few weeks!

But don't stress out too much. You can always give yourself the gift of wellness. I'm talking a spa day, manicure, pedicure, trip to a float spa, etc. These are some fantastic ideas to treat yourself or to ask the Santa in your life to get you this holiday season.

Go to a float spa - I know it sounds weird, but floating around in one of their special "float rooms" is super relaxing! We suggest checking out The Float Spa Holly Springs, which has a big holiday gift card sale going on through Dec. 25.

Get moving - Get a membership to a local gym or fitness center. In downtown Raleigh, MADabolic is offering a one year membership with unlimited classes for $178. Also in downtown, 110 Yoga is offering a $129 one-month unlimited membership. If you are in Cary or Morrisville, we suggest checking out Six-Foot-Fit and their outdoor classes. O2 Fitness, YMCA and OrangeTheory are also great options.

Get a massage or facial - In Raleigh, Lorena Luca Skin and Spa is offering a gift card for a 50-minute Swedish style relaxation massage for $85. White Dahlia Day Spa has everything from massages to lash lifts. Le Nu Spa and The Umstead are both in Cary and offer great spa services. Also in Cary, Natural Esthetics offers facials, fillers, lashes and waxing.

Get your nails done - I'm a huge fan of getting my nails done. I am obsessed with the cool designs that can be done on them. I've had snowflakes, a peacock and even Stormy from the Carolina Hurricanes on my nails. A few salons to check out: Nail Yeah on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. When I tell you that the owner, Crystal, can do anything on your nails, I mean - she CAN DO ANYTHING! She is a true artist. Now she does book up quick so you have to schedule pretty far out with Nail Yeah, but it is worth it. I'm also a fan of Paintbase in North Hills. They do great work!

Get your hair done - I love to get my hair colored. I have always been a fan of changing things up. My hair has been blonde, red, purple and even green! I've settled into a copper/red phase right now and I'm loving it. Anyone can tell you that hair salons are expensive! So definitely request a gift card to your favorite place this holiday season.
