Hollyoaks star Jessamy Stoddart has revealed that she has married her fiancé, Ryan O'Gorman, in a snow-dusted ceremony.

The Liberty Savage actress shared the news with her Instagram followers by posting a series of snaps from the big day, which took place on Sunday (November 28).

"It's cliché but yesterday was without a doubt the best day of my life," she wrote. "So overwhelmed with love & happiness. We are so lucky to have been able to share our day with the most outstanding humans on the planet.

"The most outstanding of them all is now my bloomin HUSBAND!!!! Let the wedding spam commence..."

Her post featured photos of her and Ryan being showered with confetti and of her veil being fixed, as well as a video of her and Ryan walking excitedly to the top table for their wedding breakfast.

The actress also shared a photo of her new husband carrying her outside as snowflakes fall around them, a moment she described as "just magic".

Jessamy's Instagram Stories featured further glimpses of the special day, including the skyscraper style white wedding cake and the two different white dresses that the actress wore during the day.

The newlyweds were flooded with congratulatory messages from Jessamy's Hollyoaks co-stars, with Juliet Nightingale actress Niamh Blackshaw commenting: "You look so beautiful I'm so so so happy for you, you GORGEOUS couple!! Congratulations", and Cleo McQueen star Nadine Mulkerrin writing: "So beautiful xx".

Misbah Maalik actress Harvey Virdi wrote: "Wow Wow Wow. So many congratulations and love to you both. You look amazing", while Sylver McQueen actor David Tag commented: "Amazing! Congratulations! You're a beautiful couple!", and Cindy Cunningham actress Stephanie Waring added: "Congratulations so happy for you both!!!"

Jessamy and Ryan got engaged last December, with the actress sharing a photo of her engagement ring after the proposal and writing: "On a scale of 1-10 how engaged do I look? 1000 x yes."

Ryan is also an actor, who has starred in stage musicals including The Phantom of the Opera and Billy Elliot.

Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
