Gran Turismo 7 Edges Closer to Launch with Australian Classification

Set to launch for PS5 and PS4 in March, Polyphony Digital's racing sim has been rated by the Australian classifications board.

It’s been a long wait for Gran Turismo fans in terms of a new mainline game in the series, and while PS4’s Gran Turismo Sport has certainly turned things around over the years, there’s no doubting that there’s a lot of hunger for a new numbered Gran Turismo entry. Thankfully, Gran Turismo 7 is arriving in a few months, and it looks like that release date is locked and loaded (or close enough, at any rate).

Gran Turismo 7 was rated by the Australian classifications board as recently as yesterday. That, of course, is process that generally happens for games that are close to launch, which would hopefully mean that another delay for the game is looking unlikely (or unlikelier than before). Gran Turismo 7 was already delayed once, having originally been set to launch in 2021, and delays in generals are awfully common for games these days, so this should provide some reassurance for those looking forward to the racing sim.

Gran Turismo 7 is set to launch for the PS5 and PS4 on March 4, 2022.
