BTS Dominates Twitter With Million Tweets From 'Permission To Dance - L.A.' Concert

BTS dominated Twitter during the last two days of their "Permission to Dance On Stage - LA" concert. They heated up the stage and the online realm with their face-to-face concert after two years! 

BTS Takes Over Twitter With Million Tweets from 'PTD On Stage - LA' 

On November 30, Twitter announced that over 26 million tweets were generated all over the world during the past two days when BTS held a face-to-face concert "Permission To Dance on Stage - L.A." at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, USA from November 27 to 28 (US Time).

During the concert, the hashtags, "#PTD_ON_STAGE_LA," #Stage_For_ARMY," "#BTS," "#BTSARMY," "#JUNGKOOK," #JIN," "#JIMIN," and "#SoFi" were used to celebrate BTS' face-to-face concert. Moreover, conversations were active, like sharing live concert updates in real time.

BTS also expressed their anticipation for the offline concert which will be held after a long time through their official Twitter account.

BTS Jimin's tweet before the first concert and Jin and RM's tweet afterwards were recorded as the time when Twitter recorded the highest number of tweets during the concert. Particularly, Jimin's tweets received over 750,000 retweets and 2.2 million likes.

They managing director of Twitter's Global K-Pop and K-Contents Partnership, Kim Yeon-jung, stated that there were over 15 million tweets on the first day of the concert, it even exceeded the record of 10 million tweets each month, which was the average daily tweet volume for a month when "Butter" was released last May.

The "Permission to Dance - L.A." concert of BTS is the first face-to-face concert since the COVID-19 pandemic took over the world. Noticeably, a lot of video tweets that show artists and conversations with fans were seen on the site. This could mean that there will be a lot of face-to-face concerts in the future once again.

About 106,000 audience members have gathered for the two-day performance of BTS. The Bangtan boys will continue their performance at SoFi stadium on December 1 & 2. The concert's final day, which is on December 2, will be broadcast live online.

BTS Enters The US Billboard Charts Once Again

On November 30, BTS' album "Map of the Soul: 7" re-enters the US Billboard's main chart, "Billboard Album Chart 200," it took the 187th spot on the chart.

The "Map of the Soul: 7," which was released in February of last year, is BTS' 4th regular album. It expresses the process of the Bangtan boys in finding their own complete self.

The album peaked at the top of the Billboard 200 chart right after its release, it set a lot of records for more than 80 weeks after that.

It has already been a year and nine months since the album was released. And now, the interest in the album is growing once again because of the "Permission to Dance On Stage - L.A." concert fever is still ongoing in Los Angeles, USA.
