The Arc of Calhoun & Cleburne Counties on Monday received a check for $25,000 from the C.D. Spangler Foundation at Gold Bond Building Products in Oxford. Shown left to right front row are Kim Boone and Deante Montgomery, "consumers" with the Arc, as well as Pati Tiller, who is the Arc's executive director, and Tommy Wilson, plant manager at Gold Bond. On the back row are Summer Martin, ARC Board Secretary; Hunter Gentry, Arc board president; Barbara Johnson, a coordinator with the Arc; Zac Galmish, sales representative with Gold Bond; Dale Westbrook, shipping supervisor at Gold Bond; and Blake Gray, quality supervisor at Gold Bond.

Christmas came early for the Arc of Calhoun & Cleburne Counties on Monday afternoon when the local nonprofit received an unexpected gift of $25,000 from the C.D. Spangler Foundation at Gold Bond Building Products in Oxford.

The C.D. Spangler Foundation was named after the late Clemmie Dixon Spangler, who was an American billionaire businessman and the owner of National Gypsum.
