WHITE OAK, Pa. — White Oak Police are reminding people to lock their cars after someone went through several unlocked vehicles over the weekend.

According to police, the incidents happened on both Kansas Avenue and Carmella Drive. The suspect took valuables from the car including a firearm.

One neighbor on Carmella tells Channel 11, he didn’t notice his car was targeted until Monday morning.

A home surveillance  system caught the act on camera and shows one person rummaging through a car. However, White Oak police believe there may be two people involved in the latest crimes.

“My center console was opened up, my glove box was opened up. Paper work was just all over the place and they took some of the stuff from my car and threw it in my driveway,” said Dwight Henry.

“It’s a nice quiet neighborhood, I shouldn’t have to lock my car, there is nothing in it that’s of any value whatsoever,” said Henry.

Now, police are reminding White Oak residents of three things:

Take your keys, remove your valuables and lock your vehicle.
