3-star defensive lineman and former LSU commit Shone Washington has committed to Georgia

Three-star defensive tackle Shone Washington committed to Georgia on Monday night.

Washington — 6-foot-3, 297 pounds — is the No. 21 prospect in Louisiana and the No. 69 defensive line recruit in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite. Bulldogs defensive line coach Tray Scott was the lead recruiter for his services. Washington visited Georgia on Nov. 19.

Georgia now has the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation following Washington's commitment. He is the Bulldogs' fifth defensive line commitment and first from Louisiana.

The Warren Easton senior decommitted from LSU in January and had offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Washington announced in August that he will be graduating high school in January and enroll in the school of his choice then.
