Mike Bobo’s tenure as Auburn’s offensive coordinator appears to be finished after just 1 season.

According to On3’s Justin Hokanson, Bobo will not return in 2022. This comes just days after the Tigers fell in 4 overtimes to Alabama in the Iron Bowl.

Bobo, who joined Will Muschamp’s staff at South Carolina as offensive coordinator in 2020 after a 5-year stint as head coach of Colorado State, took over as interim head coach following Muschamp’s firing with 3 games remaining in the season. He was retained by Shane Beamer upon the 1st-year head coach’s hiring but ultimately left the program to take the same position at Auburn under Bryan Harsin.

Auburn ranked 10th in the SEC in total yards per game, 9th in rushing yards, and 7th in passing yards in 2021. It averaged 29.42 points per game, good for 10th in the conference.
