2 charged with shooting inside Larimer club; FBI weighs in on how to respond to an active shooter
Two men have been charged with risking a catastrophe after a shooting inside Club VIP in Pittsburgh's Larimer neighborhood.

According to court documents, hundreds of people were inside on Nov. 13 when investigators said the men started shooting and everyone ran for the door.
"My advice to somebody who finds themselves in a situation like that is to try to get away from the attacker," FBI Special Agent Timothy Wolford said.
Pittsburgh police said video surveillance showed people desperate to exit, as well as Raymar Pack and Kyshem Woods firing.
According to court papers, Pack fired into the crowd before falling into a pile of people. Police said the video then shows Woods picking something up near Pack, then shooting at those running toward the exit. Police said people were falling as they fled and others were being stepped on.
In situations like that, Wolford said there are other options.
"My next step would be to hide, so try to find someplace where you can hide from the attacker," Wolford said. "But not just hide, but then fortify that position. Barricade the door, if there's things that you can. And one of the most important things I would say is to come up with a defense plan."
According to the FBI, most active shooter events are over within 5 minutes, and over 35% of them end in less than two.
At Club VIP, police said one person was shot and some were hurt running, but everyone survived.
Wolford said the best advice is to have a plan and first try to get out, as most did from Club VIP.
"If you do have a clear escape route, I would recommend that you take it," Wolford said.
Pack is lodged in the Allegheny County Jail, awaiting his preliminary hearing.
Police said they are actively searching for Woods.
