164 new COVID-19 cases reported in Eastern New Mexico with almost 5K new cases statewide

State health officials reported 164 new COVID-19 in Eastern New Mexico, among 4,991 new cases and 45 deaths statewide over the Thanksgiving holiday.

According to the New Mexico Department of Health, there were 85 new coronavirus cases reported in Curry County, 43 new infections in Quay County, 28 in Roosevelt County and eight in Union County.
Including the above newly reported cases, New Mexico has now had a total of 313,139 COVID-19 cases:

- A female in her 60s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
- A male in his 60s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
- A second male in his 60s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
- A male in his 70s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
