Late Night with Seth Meyers and its resident musical ensemble, The 8G Band, will welcome some exciting guest drummers in the coming weeks.

First, from December 6th–9th, drummer Nikki Glaspie (The Nth Power) will hold down the beat for the late-night show’s house band. Then, from December 13th–16th, Joe Russo (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead) will step in behind the drum kit.

Glaspie will roll into her Late Night stint hot off a late-November/early-December tour with Punkadelick alongside Mike Dillon and Brian Haas. Nikki and her band, The Nth Power, recently released Reverence, their first new album in six years. Following the stint, she’ll head to Colorado with her funk outfit KAMANI for a run of live shows. Joe Russo is prepping for his final Almost Dead show of the year, an arena blowout at 1stBank Center in Broomfield, CO this Friday, December 3rd. For tickets to JRAD’s final show of the year in Broomfield, CO, head here.

The 8G Band frequently welcomes interesting guest drummers when its founding drummer and bandleader, the multi-talented Fred Armisen, has gigs elsewhere. Recent guest drummers on the show have included Nate Smith (The Fearless Flyers), Elmo LovanoAtom Willard (Against Me!), and more.
