The 29-year-old Moran was one of the players that came over from Houston in the Gerrit Cole trade in 2018.

In four seasons with the Pirates, Moran batted .269 with 211 RBI, 370 hits and 45 homeruns in 1,411 at bats.

Moran was one of the Pirates' more consistently better players on the field during his time in Pittsburgh.

Tsutsugo’s signing was reported first last week.

He signed with the Pirates after being released by the Los Angeles Dodgers last August.

In 43 games with the Pirates, the 30-year-old Tsutsugo hit .268 with eight home runs and 25 RBI.

“We are excited to bring Yoshi back to Pittsburgh,” said Pirates General Manager Ben Cherington. “Yoshi brings an extensive track record of offensive performance with power to our lineup. He is a great teammate and an insightful player with a great understanding of the game. During his short time with us, Yoshi demonstrated a willingness to challenge himself to get better, a trait that will positively influence the younger players in our clubhouse.”

Prior to come over to the MLB, Tsutsugo was a five-time all-star in Japan.
