Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has shared her excitement at the news of her daughter Emilie Cunliffe's engagement.
Emilie, 24, said yes when boyfriend Mikey Hoszowskyj proposed taking the mic during her birthday celebration and declaring his love. The two have been long-time partners and share 2-year-old son Teddy.
Announcing the news on her own Instagram account, Kym shared a picture of the happy couple as well as a close-up of the engagement ring.

"Well...what a weekend! On Saturday my beautiful daughter [Emily] got engaged!!" the star wrote in the caption. "[Mike] totally surprised her on her birthday weekend. Needless to say she said yes!!!
"I am beyond thrilled! They are so wonderful together, have a beautiful little family of their own already and are fantastic parents to Teddy and Polly [Kym's nine-year-old daughter]!!
"[Mike] is a kind and generous man," she continued, "he really has a heart of gold and always does his very best for his family. He loves my daughter with all his heart and I know he will be a fantastic husband to my girl. Very proud to be his mother in law to be!!!

"[Emily,] he's also struck gold with you! You are an absolute diamond. Beautiful, loving, loyal and kind and one of the best mummy's I know!! I couldn't be more proud of you!!
"Huge congratulations to you both I'm absolutely thrilled to bits!! We love you [red heart emoji]"
Mike's announcement came only two weeks after his future brother-in-law and Kym's son David Cunliffe proposed to his now fiancée Courtney.
"So....that's both of my children engaged.....gonna be an expensive couple of years I reckon!! Hahah!!" wrote Kym in her post.
Only last month, Kym herself tied the knot with her partner, army major Scott Ratcliff.
