The Detroit Red Wings will be looking for their third straight victory and to exact some revenge tomorrow night against the Boston Bruins, who defeated them 5-1 earlier this month. And they just caught a big break, as one of Boston’s top players will not be in their lineup.
Notorious pest Brad Marchand has one again run afoul of the National Hockey League, and he’s going to be sitting for the immediate future. He’s been suspended for three games thanks to his slew-foot on Vancouver Canucks defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larson on Sunday night:

In 18 games, Marchand has scored nine goals with 15 assists. He had four assists in Boston’s win over Detroit at TD Garden on November 4.
