Colorful collages created by members of the San Lorenzo Valley community illuminate the windows of the Felton Branch Library. GLOW, which will be on display through January 13, is a collaborative art project connecting the SLV community through creativity and contemplation of gratitude. Led by Arts Council Santa Cruz County SPECTRA artist Stacy Monowitz and inspired by the prompt “I am grateful for...”, participants created tissue paper collages which are now mounted as multi-paned panels in the library’s windows. Sunlight illuminates the unique and colorful designs of 452 participants, and highlights common themes woven together in a collective voice of hope for the future. The numbered panels are available to the public to reserve for their own homes by making a donation to Felton Library Friends. (Shmuel Thaler/Santa Cruz Sentinel)
