Bass of the Week: Reverend Guitars Mike Watt Wattplower Mark II

Reverend Guitars Mike Watt Wattplower Mark II Bass Root Beer

Mike Watt is such an icon of the instrument that it’s only fitting his signature bass is equally epic. This week we’re checking out the second version of his Wattplower by Reverend Guitars.

Available in satin emerald green or root beer sparkle finishes, the short-scale bass is built primarily with korina with a fingerboard of Pau ferro. The Mark 2 version of the signature axe is set apart by its unique pickup configuration including Reverend’s Triple P-Blade and Rio Grande Pitbull in the bridge and neck positions, respectively. A three-position switch toggles between the two “P” options and the humbucker.

Other features include Hipshot Ultralight tuners, a Hipshot A Style bridge, and special Watt-style inlays.
