“I wrote a fiction book on a bank heist between two unlikely partners. Not [published] yet, but I’m currently working with an editor on it! It started off as a short story in my 8th grade English class. Then over quarantine I worked and rewrote it until I had a story that was book-length. I always saw writing as an escape, and a way to be in control of a story, because over the past year so much stuff has happened I’ve had no control over, like the pandemic. It was a big commitment, but I took it a little at a time. It just seemed like a fun story, nothing too serious! [The characters] at first seem like polar opposites. One is a goody-two shoes who follows all the rules, and the other is someone who’s bored with their life and is breaking the rules for a little entertainment. [The editor has] been giving me tips on how to fix my story, which I’ve currently been going through, and will later help with spelling, punctuation, and grammar. My goal for having an editor is to get my book as published ready as I can.”
