Jerry Hook, head of design at 343 Industries, recently tweeted some details about how the team at 343, the developers behind Halo Infinite, are planning to continue modifying the game. Halo Infinite’s free multiplayer mode has come under scrutiny for its progression system, which requires extensive grinding for players to acquire in-game currency.
Halo Infinite’s Battle Pass in particular has received some updates from the developers, such as XP boosts lasting longer and players being able to claim experience from completing matchmade games.
The team at 343 took some of last week off for American Thanksgiving. Brian Jarrard, 343’s community director, tweeted that “Changes will take time and our priority this week is giving the team a much deserved break for the holiday after a long final stretch. Thank you for understanding.”
Hook tweeted that progression is “top of [his] list” with the development team when they resumed their work this week.

The multiplayer beta for Halo Infinite, along with throttling player progression, also has reported problems of an influx of cheaters and a problem with its current in-game event Fractured: Tenrai, which limits players to a small number of completable in-game events per day. How Hook, Jarrard, and the rest of the team at 343 will prioritize each of these facets of the beta remains to be seen.
