Gregg Lee scored the Devils' first goal.

The Fredonia State hockey team skated to a 2-2 tie at Nazareth on Tuesday evening. Gregg Lee (Aliso Viejo, Calif./Aliso Niguel) and Antonio Demacopoulos (Hickory Hills, Ill./Amos Alonzo Stagg) both scored goals, and Zach Willms (Camrose, Alberta/Camrose Composite) made his first start in net, collecting 45 saves.

Nazareth struck first, connecting 12 minutes into the first period with Mike Herrera finding the net.

The Devils scored twice in the second period.

Lee received assists from Ryan Bailey (Anchorage, Alaska/South Anchorage) and Kieran Furlonger (Mill Bay, B.C./Shawnigan Lake) 35 seconds in.

Demacopoulos tied the game with four-and-a-half minutes left in the second. He received an assist from Ethan Kirbis (Clarence/Clarence)

Nazareth scored the game-tying goal with just over seven minutes left in the game.

The teams then skated through a five-minute, three-on-three overtime without any goals scored. Nazareth's David Reduzzi made four saves and Willms had three.

Fredonia State was 0-3 on power plays, and Naz failed to score on two power plays.

Reduzzi made 30 saves in the game. The Golden Eagles are now 2-4-2 on the season.

The Devils, now 4-3-1, take on Geneseo in Steele Hall on Dec. 3.

The Fredonia State baseball team extended its win streak to four games with 10-4 and 5-4 wins over visiting Hilbert College on Monday. Christian Pagano connected for a two-run homerun in Game 1, his third in as many games. Alex Gannon added a two-run blast of his own in the opener.

Day 2 results at Cortland

The 4x100 relay team took third place, and turned in a AARTFC qualifying time on the second day of the Cortland Classic on Saturday. Jacob Winn -- a member of the relay team -- also turned in a third place in the finals of the 100m dash.

After qualifying for the finals on Friday, Cara Pellechia finished fourth in the 100m dash, and also turned in a fifth-place finish in the 200m for the top two finishes for the Fredonia State women's track and field team.
