It's the most wonderful time in the year, but this is EastEnders, so we all know that won't be the case for our long-suffering Walford residents.
With Christmas just around the corner, the festive teasers are starting to come in thick and fast. Here's a roundup of all the spoilers we have so far:
1. Two Christmas weddings
Love is all around Walford this Christmas as two couples prepare for their shared yuletide nuptials. That's right, Chelsea and Denise Fox are planning a double mother-daughter wedding with their partners Gray and Jack.
Paparazzi pictures first teased this back in October, but it's only recently been revealed on screen. While Jack popped the question to Denise a while ago, Gray and Chelsea have only recently decided to tie the knot following her pregnancy discovery.
But as the Fox family prepares for their Christmas festivities, viewers know that a very dark cloud is looming over Chelsea's happiness. And given that there is not one, but two Christmas weddings on the cards, what could possibly go wrong?
2. Gray exposed?
He's the biggest villain in Soapland right now who has claimed the lives of Tina, Kush and his wife Chantelle, but could Gray finally be caught out this Christmas? It's looking likely.
While Chelsea glides towards her winter wedding, EastEnders is teasing that her big day could come under threat when Whitney becomes determined to "follow her gut instinct".
Whitney is becoming increasingly conscious of Gray's true colours, having repeatedly found herself on the receiving end of his nasty temper. Of course, let's not also forget that EastEnders bosses Kate Oates and Jon Sen promised that the Gray story would be returning to its roots in due course, with his comeuppance possibly not too far away.
"Gray hasn't been as clever as he thinks," Kate said back in August. "Smoking guns are all over the Square, just waiting to be found. Gray's downfall awaits..."
"We've obviously got the culmination or we're building to the kind of culmination of the Gray storyline," Jon added. "It's kind of [the] next chapter. Obviously, it has been a very long story arc and it's taken many twists and turns, but we are kind of going back to the grass roots of the story, really pivoting it back to its origins, and it's gonna be a fascinating turn of events for the Atkins family."
3. Kim's devastating discovery
Kim's world was recently turned upside down following the news of Vincent's death three years ago, and she's about to learn about the part Phil played in his demise.
Unsurprisingly, Kim will be left hellbent on revenge following the big discovery, causing a huge fracture in her relationship with sister Denise over the Christmas period.
With Kim determined to expose Phil's crime ahead of Denise and Chelsea's festive nuptials, could she be facing a very lonely Christmas if there's a big family fallout?
4. Rocky's unwanted Christmas guest
Rocky will be spending Christmas with Kathy and Sonia, but the big secret regarding his true intentions, and his true identity, is a ticking timebomb. And we all know how much EastEnders love to explode those on Christmas Day, don't we?
While Rocky has grown fond of his 'daughter' over the past few months, it's clear that keeping up appearances is now having a detrimental impact on his health.
Not only has that confession placed Rocky and Dotty's secret in mortal danger, but an unwanted guest will threaten to spoil more than just the dinner. Is Sonia about to get the daddy of all shocks as they tuck into the turkey?
5. Janine's festive crush
We've been told that Janine will firmly be on the naughty list this year and will do whatever it takes to make sure she remains in the spotlight.
Recent episodes have seen her strike up a tentative friendship with Mick, after they joined forces to take on Peter Beale over the Square's Christmas tree sponsorship. However, new EastEnders teasers have hinted that Janine could be hoping for more in Linda's absence.
Janine will become determined to give her daughter Scarlett the day she deserves over the festive season, but is this the only reason for her sudden (and somewhat unexpected) Christmas spirit? Or could Mrs Claus become Mrs Claws as Janine "craves attention from elsewhere"?
6. Tiffany's exit
We've known for a while now that Tiffany's days on the Square are numbered, as Maisie Smith filmed her final scenes in the role back in October.
This means that Tiffany's exit story is due to play out over the coming weeks, and it's unlikely she'll still be spending Christmas with her Walford family. Although details about how Tiffany departs are currently firmly under wraps, fans should expect a few more twists and turns before we see the last of her.
This week's episodes will see Tiffany become further embroiled in her new boyfriend Aaron's dark world, while her marriage to Keegan seems to have reached the point of no return when he asks her for a divorce. Will there be a happy-ever-after for Teegan? Or is Keegan facing a lonely Christmas as well?
7. Stuart's sad new story
EastEnders will kick off a big, new story for Stuart Highway next month, when he gets life-changing news from the doctor.
After becoming insecure over his body during a photoshoot with Peter Beale at the gym, Stuart will undergo further tests at the doctors, but is left gobsmacked by the results.
Sadly, Stuart feels unable to share his diagnosis with his wife Rainie, and it's down to Sonia Fowler to give him the support he needs when she realises what's going on. What does the future hold for Stuart now?
8. Kat's jealousy intensifies
Phil and Kat will face a bumpy road in the countdown to their first Christmas together as she continues to feel uneasy over his bond with ex-wife Sharon.
As Sharon faces a big setback in her custody plans for baby Alyssa, she finds herself leaning on Phil for support. To nobody's surprise, this doesn't go down all that well with Phil's current partner Kat, who has already expressed her concerns over his connection with Sharon. Will Kat's insecurities ruin her chance of happiness?
9. Phil makes a big mistake
Matters of the heart won't be the only festive drama Phil is caught up in this year, either. Paparazzi pictures recently showed him being caught up in a kidnap scandal after he flees to the coast with his young son Raymond.
In scenes expected to air at the end of the year, Phil whisks Raymond away to a campsite in Clacton, leaving Denise in a frenzy back in Walford.
Phil is eventually tracked down by his ex Sharon and Kat, who try to get him to see sense and return to Walford with the youngster.
Before he has a chance, Phil finds the police catching up with him but will able to talk his way out of trouble, or will he be spending 2022 in a prison cell?
10. Aaron's story intensifies
EastEnders has already confirmed a far-right story with sinister newcomer Aaron, and the plot will be intensifying over the New Year.
The Sun reported earlier this month that a bomb will be planted in Walford after Christmas, putting all the residents' lives in danger, and it's now clear that this will be linked to Aaron.
Further details are currently under wraps but Digital Spy understands that this story will be gathering momentum at the start of 2022, with long-lasting ramifications that will change the Square forever.
