A FedEx driver has been questioned by police after hundreds of packages were found in an Alabama ravine.
The Blount County Sheriff's Office in Alabama said in a Facebook post on Monday that "There have been many questions coming in, mainly from media, regarding the FedEx debacle. Investigators have been speaking to FedEx security personnel and the driver has been identified and questioned."
The post continued, "More to come, please be patient as we are currently getting into all the details. All the information that we can share will be shared when we can share it."

The initial incident was first reported by the Blount County Sheriff's Office on November 24. In a Facebook post, the sheriff's office said that a deputy was on the scene after officers discovered "300-400 boxes of assorted sizes" that appeared to be thrown inside a ravine.
"An area manager from FedEx is en route to the scene. Hopefully we will have some answers soon," the post said.
In one update after the initial post, the sheriff's office said that FedEx officials arrived on scene and shortly after they issued another update saying that "FedEx has sent multiple trucks and drivers from all over the south and will begin loading the packages as soon as the sun comes up. I will have a deputy on scene until the work is complete."
Some other Facebook posts from the Blount County Sheriff's Office showed officers and residents helping to collect the packages that were found.

"These guys came from all over the country to work on Thanksgiving. Thank you guys for your hard work and clearing up this mess. Happy Thanksgiving," the Blount County Sheriff's Office said.
It is unclear if the FedEx driver was the one who left the packages in the ravine.
In a statement sent to WVTM 13 news in Alabama, a spokesperson for FedEx said, "The security of our customers' shipments is a top priority and we are committed to treating our customers' packages with the utmost care."
The statement continued, "We are taking steps to recover and transport the affected packages as quickly as possible. In addition to cooperating with law enforcement, we are conducting a review of this situation and will take the appropriate action. Customers with questions about their shipments can track their packages by visiting here."
Newsweek reached out to FedEx for comment.
While speaking with WBMA-TV last week, Natasha Abney said that one of her neighbors first discovered the packages.
"I mean it was just a river of boxes," Abney told the local news station. "Some busted open, some not."
