Detectives from the Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 1-year-old from Silver Spring and her 29-year-old mother.
According to police, Ziona Amaya and her mother, Sandy Barrientos were last seen on November 28 at their residence on Plymouth Street in Silver Spring.
Amaya is an infant and has brown eyes and brown hair. Police state she was last seen wearing a pink jacket, green pants, pink sneakers and a pink hat.
Her mother, Barrientos, is 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds, according to police. She has brown eyes and black hair. Barrientos was last seen wearing a long gray peacoat, black pants, white and green sneakers and a pink knit hat. Barrientos was last seen pushing Amaya in a red car-style stroller.
Police say the family are concerned for their welfare.
