Omaha police have identified the woman killed in a four-vehicle crash Monday morning. It happened at 10:49 a.m. on North 144th Street near West Dodge Road. Investigators say the driver of a Toyota Tundra, 55-year-old Gerard Skutnik, of Omaha, was speeding when he crashed into a stopped Chevy Malibu. The Malibu then struck a stopped Chevy Equinox and a BMW. The driver of the Malibu, 78-year-old Patricia Brinkman, of Omaha, died at the scene. Skutnik and the driver of the Equinox were taken to the hospital with possible serious injuries. Police say Skutnik is being treated for a fractured wrist; the condition of the other driver is unknown. Police say Skutnik and the driver of the Equinox were not wearing seatbelts. The driver of the BMW was not hurt. Police say no charges have been filed at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
