An El Paso non-profit organization is partnering with the El Paso Museum of art to feature work created by individuals with different abilities and their siblings.
Beautiful Minds MALI is an organization that gives opportunities in fields like science, engineering and art to adults and kids with different abilities in the community. Organizers and volunteers have been working to put together workshops for not only individuals with different abilities but their siblings too and have helped them create art pieces to be displayed in the organization’s 2nd exhibition at the El Paso Museum of Art.
It’s called “Unveiling Our True Creativity” and in it, the community will be able to see 24 masterpieces.
Tuesday, a private reception will be held to open the exhibit up and then from Wednesday, Dec. 1 to Saturday, Dec. 4, the art exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Each artist created a piece that allowed them to express their interests, passions, and skills for the world to see.
Beautiful Minds MALI director Magda Galloza hopes this will continue to be a yearly event.
“Through this platform Beautiful Minds MALI and the El Paso Museum of Art expect to continue promoting the infinite possibilities that the participants can experience and continue promoting awareness throughout the beautiful City of El Paso about the actual proficiencies of these artists with different abilities,” Galloza said.
