Brendan Fraser Has Adorable Reaction To The Mummy Cosplayer

"I could not stop smiling."

Actor Brendan Fraser, possibly the most deserving recipient of “the Internet’s white boy of the month” award, was thrilled to speak with an interviewer who had dressed up as Evelyn Carnahan from The Mummy and his reaction was adorable.

If you grew up in the early noughties, you’ll remember Fraser from George of the Jungle, The Mummy, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Inkheart and more. Perhaps, you’ll recall his stints in Scrubs or Texas Rising or Doom Patrol, more recently. However, an alleged sexual assault as well as a number of other events caused Fraser’s mental and physical health to take a downward turn, and has said that the associations of calling out his attacker Philip Berk led to a lot of Hollywood hotshots abandoning the actor.

Fortunately, he’s got a slew of new films and shows on the horizon, like Killers of the Flower Moon, The Whale, Brothers and even Batgirl. Speaking to actor, cosplayer, and writer Lindley Key, he found out that hundreds if not thousands of his fans were waiting patiently for him to step into the spotlight when he was ready to return and he became overwhelmed with emotion. The moment went viral on TikTok, expectedly, and marked the beginning of the Brenaissance

However, what we didn’t see was the very start of this chat between Fraser and Key, when he saw that she was dressed up as Evelyn Carnahan from The Mummy. Evelyn is an Egyptologist who falls in love with the American adventurer Rick O’Connell in the series of movies. "The moment he saw me, he said, 'Evelyn, the years have been good to you,'" said Key in an interview with Insider. "And I became twitterpated all over again."

If that simply wasn’t enough, Fraser remembered the moment when he was on a panel at the Fan Expo Boston 2021, and admitted that he doesn’t get what TikTok is. "And then he said, 'I had a lovely chat with this woman named Lindley,’” continued Key. “The fact that the man took the time not only to learn my screen name, but he remembered my name, that meant the world. I could not stop smiling."

Well, now I’ve got a cavity from how sweet this whole thing is.
